Seit der Gründung im Jahr 1977 erarbeiten wir am Öko-Institut Grundlagen und Strategien, wie die Vision einer nachhaltigen Entwicklung global, national und lokal umgesetzt werden kann. In unserem Blog schreiben wir über unsere wissenschaftliche Arbeit, zeigen Nachhaltigkeitsthemen aus verschiedenen Perspektiven und diskutieren Standpunkte jenseits abgeschlossener Forschungsprojekte.

Öko-Institut persönlich

Der Blog will die Menschen hinter dem Öko-Institut sichtbar machen und die vielseitige Arbeit des Instituts. Die Beiträge spiegeln unsere Arbeit wieder und geben den Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern die Gelegenheit, kurzfristig und außerhalb ihrer Projekte zu kommunizieren. Wir wollen mit Menschen außerhalb des Instituts diskutieren und freuen uns ausdrücklich über Ihre Kommentare.

Wer schreibt?

Seit Mai 2018 bloggen wir wöchentlich. Das Redaktionsteam des Blogs besteht aus den Mitarbeiterinnen und Mitarbeitern des Öko-Instituts. Damit können über 165 Menschen an den Standorten Freiburg, Darmstadt und Berlin zu Wort kommen. Zusätzlich schreiben die Redakteurinnen des Öko-Instituts Anette Nickels und Mandy Schoßig eigene Beiträge, interviewen ihre Kolleginnen und Kollegen und präsentieren interessante Zitate, Tweets und Beiträge aus dem Online-Magazin eco@work.

Welcome to the blog of the Oeko-Institut, one of Europe’s leading independent research and consultancy organisations working for a sustainable future. Since the Oeko-Institut was founded in 1977, we have been developing principles and strategies for realising the vision of sustainable development at global, national and local level. In our blog, we write about our scientific work and explore and discuss sustainability issues from a variety of perspectives, looking beyond our research projects, past and present.

What’s the aim?

Our blog aims to reveal the faces behind the Oeko-Institut and showcase its diverse agenda in a fresh and, above all, a more personal way. From statements on the latest controversies in areas such as green mobility to quick “three-question” interviews, discussions about sustainability audits and practical consumer tips: the posts cover all aspects of our work and give our researchers an opportunity to communicate more spontaneously – and not only about their projects. For the Oeko-Institut and its team, the blog is thus a platform for comment and debate, while for our readers, it is a space where they can engage with our research topics in a new and perhaps more informal way.

We want to discuss these topics and our ideas and viewpoints with people outside the Institute and very much welcome your feedback on our posts.

Who writes the blog?

From May 2018, we will be blogging every week. The editorial team mainly consists of Oeko-Institut staff. Our employees – more than 165 of them at our Freiburg, Darmstadt and Berlin sites – can all have a say by contributing project-based or opinion pieces. In addition, the Oeko-Institut’s editors Anette Nickels and Mandy Schossig write short pieces of their own, interview their colleagues and post interesting quotes, tweets and articles from eco@work, the Institute’s online magazine.
